Dear Colleagues:

The Davis Division of the Academic Senate has 2,693 members (including emeritus).

The UC Regents have delegated authority over curricular matters and graduation requirements to the Academic Senate, forming the foundation of shared governance. The Senate serves in an advisory capacity in other areas. The petition process allows Senate members to call for a vote on any matter of importance. Voting on the final petition, the "Two-Resolution Vote of Confidence" closed at 5:00PM today, March 2, 2012. The results of the ballot were distributed to the Academic Senate membership at 6:03PM today.
