      The purpose of this special committee is to establish a base line for data for the assessment of the academic success of students engaged in ICA. The final product will be fields to be populated in a database to be maintained and used to generate an annual report to the appropriate Academic Senate standing committee. The annual report review will assure the Academic Senate is able to monitor the campus’ compliance to compacts made when Division I Athletics was implemented.

      The work of the task-force has been completed and the baseline data is being submitted to the Executive Council.

      The purpose of this group is to outline the process and authorities for the establishment, disestablishment, consolidation or reorganization of academic programs. Guidelines contained in Policy and Procedure Manual revisions have been reviewed by Senate standing committees and will be presented to the Council of Deans and Vice Chancellors prior to implementation.

      The purpose of this group is to identify centers and other research units that should be subject to formal review and approval, the standards of review, and the process. A proposal for revision of the ORU review process has been completed and is circulating among the task force for comment.

      The advisory group is comprised of the official Davis Division representatives to the Campus Animal Care Advisory Group. The Divisional representatives are responsible for assuring the Academic Senate Chair and Executive Council are kept apprised of the initiatives and programs that will impact faculty members at UC Davis in a positive and negative manner.

      The task force will work to streamline and make more effective the program review process already in place for undergraduate academic programs. It is envisioned that the revised process will include a feedback loop to assure the review committee’s insights are forwarded to the program and to assure follow up concerning implementation of enhancements requested.

      Develop a resolution to communicate a need for improving the current funding situation and the faculty’s dissatisfaction with carrying the financial burden of non-resident tuition. The Task Force resolution was adopted by the Representative Assembly at the Fall 2005 meeting and resulted in a revision of campus funding for graduate student support.
