RE:1998-99 Changes in Law School By-Laws and Regulations

At the December 4, 1998 Faculty Meeting, the following amendment was made to Article III of the Law School Faculty By-Laws:

(1) Delete existing Sections 3.6 (Clinical and Skills Training), 3.7 (ORU), 3.8 (Clerkship), 3.10 (Affirmative Action), and 3.12 (Faculty Symposium); renumber surviving sections as appropriate; and

(2) Replace existing Section 3.17 (Appointment of Advisors) with the following:

"By August 2 of each year the dean shall appoint the following faculty advisors: (1) faculty advisor to the Law Review; (2) faculty advisor to the Moot Court Board; (3) faculty symposium and colloquium advisor; and (4) faculty advisor on clerkships."

The Law School Regulations have been revised under section 1.4(A) to reflect the current make-up of the bottom 10% of the entering class.

The attached copy of the 1998-99 Law School By-Laws reflects these changes.

Sincerely,

Jill C. Peterson
