The Representative Assembly of the Davis Division of the Academic Senate
During the academic year 2000-2001, CAFR corresponded by email several times and met two times to conduct the
following business:
- The Division Chair requested that we review and comment
on the proposed APM-025, Conflict of Commitment and Outside Activities of
Faculty Members. The CAFR response,
representing our divided views, was sent on October 27, 2000.
- The Division Chair requested our views on the proposed
changes to Bylaws 334, 335, 336, 337, and 195.We communicated our approval of the changes on April 1, 2001.
- The Division Chair requested comments from CAFR on the
proposed UCDHS Drug Testing Policy. CAFR reported its serious concerns about this proposal on April 1, 2001.
- CAFR commented on the proposal to increase the number
of Academic Senate Clinical X faculty. We recommended that deserving faculty in the Clinical X series should be
afforded Academic Senate membership.
- The Division Chair asked for CAFR comments on the Whistleblower Policy and the
Whistleblower Protection from Retaliation Policy. We discussed the policies and
will submit our recommendations for changes before the June 1 deadline.
- The Division Chair requested our views on the proposed
Academic Personnel Policies 015, Faculty Code of Conduct, and 016, University Policy on Faculty Conduct
and Administration of Discipline. We discussed the policies and will submit our
comments before the June 1 deadline.
