THE REPRESENTATIVE ASSEMBLY
Davis Division, Academic Senate
The primary responsibility of the Distinguished Teaching Awards Committee is to oversee the annual awards for distinguished teaching and mentoring.
Following normal procedure, we issued the call for Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) nominations in Fall Quarter. Fourteen nominations were received in January, of which six were selected for full consideration. In our May 7th meeting, four of the finalists were chosen as the 2003 recipients.
The call for the Distinguished Graduate Mentoring Award (DGMA) was issued in early January. Twenty-four nominations were received in February, from which four finalists were selected. Up to two recipients will be chosen at our May 21st meeting.
The recipients for both awards will be announced at the June 10, 2003 Representative Assembly meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
Anna K. Kuhn, Chair
