Graduate Student Privilege Adviser

- The Graduate Student Privilege Adviser is appointed for one year, renewable term. The individual appointed to this position must be a member of the Academic Senate and must be experienced in the procedures and policies applicable to graduate students. Current members of the Graduate Council are ineligible to serve in this capacity.
- The responsibility of the Graduate Student Privilege Adviser is to advise graduate students with respect to their rights and privileges, grievance procedures, and resources available to assist them in responding to disputes involving academic and student employment matters not subject to collective bargaining.
- The Graduate Student Privilege Adviser may not serve on investigative or hearing panels involving graduate students and cannot serve as a representative of any of the parties to such procedures.
